NMMS Exam 2019-20

Objectives of the scheme

  • Finding economically weaker knowledgeable students in Class VIII and financially assist them to get a good education. 
  • Stopping their school leaving.
  • Helping these students to reach higher secondary education.

Eligibility

  1. Must be a student studying in any Government, Government Aided, Local Government institute in Maharashtra.
  2. Parental income should be less than 150000. (Together with mother and father)
  3. He / she should have Passed a minimum marks  of 55% in the seventh standard . (SC / ST student should have passed at least 50% marks).
  4. The following students are ineligible for the NMMS exam.
  • Students studying unaided school
  • Students studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya
  • Students studying at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
  • Students availing of Government Hostels
  • Students studying in military school

How to apply

         Applications are to be submitted online.

         Website to Apply www.mscepune.in and http://nmms.mscescholarshipexam.in 

        The photo and signature of the students and the principal should be scanned and               uploaded.

Reservation and Scholarship Student Number

           The number of NMMS scholarships at Indian level is one lakh. For Maharashtra, the number of students is 11682. According to the quota and cadre-wise reservation, the scholarship of the district wise, cadre-wise students is selected on the basis of merit. There will be reservation for the handicapped in every category according to the state's disability reservation

Scholarship Rate

          Students who qualify for the scholarship are given a scholarship of Rs 1000 per month from standard 9th to 12th. (Yearly Rs 12000)

          Scholarship Students must earn a minimum of 55% marks in standard 9th to 11th for scholarship.(SC / ST student should have passed at least 50% marks).

          It is necessary to get minimum 60%marks in standard 10th.  (SC / ST student should have passed at least 55% marks)

           Scholarships are distributed through the Headmaster, Education Officer (Secondary) and Hon.Director of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary).

Medium 

                 Question papers will be available in eight mediums Marathi, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Kannada and Telugu. Only one of these mediums can be taken. All students will be given a question paper of English medium along with the original medium.
